Viewing and Adjusting Temperature Set Points
For your convenience, your refrigerator and freezer controls are
preset at the factory.
When you rst install your refrigerator, make sure that the
controls are still set to the recommended set points. The factory
recommended set points are 37°F (3°C) for the refrigerator and
0°F (-18°C) for the freezer.
IMPORTANT:
■ Wait 24 hours before you put food into the refrigerator. If you
add food before the refrigerator has cooled completely, your
food may spoil.
NOTE: Adjusting the set points to a colder-than-
recommended setting will not cool the compartments
any faster.
■ If the temperature is too warm or too cold in the refrigerator
or freezer, rst check the air vents to be sure they are not
blocked before adjusting the controls.
■ The recommended settings should be correct for normal
household use. The controls are set correctly when milk or
juice is as cold as you like and when ice cream is rm.
NOTE: Areas such as a garage, basement, or porch may have
higher humidity or extreme temperatures. You may need to
adjust the temperature away from the recommended settings
to accommodate for these conditions.
■ Wait at least 24 hours between adjustments. Recheck the
temperatures before other adjustments are made.
View and Change Temperature Set Points
1. Under Tools select TEMPERATURES.
2. You will be able to view or adjust: Refrigerator, Freezer, and
Drawer.

Refrigerator set point range: 33°F to 45°F (1°C to 7°C)
Freezer set point range: -6°F to 5°F (-22°C to -15°C)
■ When the temperature in is the range of No Freezer Burn
Mode, the display will light up. No Freezer Burn Mode is
active at the coldest freezer set point.
When adjusting temperature set points,
use the following chart as a guide:

More Modes
Humidity Control
A selectable feature that turns off the heaters around the
refrigerator doors and dispenser. When this feature is enabled,
condensation may form on the front of the refrigerator cabinet,
gasket, or on top of the freezer drawer. Savings may vary based
on the relative humidity of environment.
■ To enable feature, go to Tools > Cooling features > Humidity
Control. When on, this means the heaters are on. When off,
this means the heaters will be turned off.
Fast Ice
The Fast Ice feature assists with increasing the cooling for the
freezer compartment in order to increase ice production.
■ Fast Ice feature is available under Tools > Cooling Features >
Fast Ice.
■ When pressed, “Fast Ice - On” will appear on screen and on
Clock screen.
■ To turn off Fast Ice, simply press press same icon again.
“Fast Ice - Off” will appear on screen.
■ The Fast Ice feature will remain on for 24 hours unless
manually turned off. Adjusting the refrigerator temperature
will automatically turn off the Fast Ice feature.
NOTE: Setting the freezer to a colder temperature may make
some foods, such as ice cream, harder.
Fast Cool
The Fast Cool feature assists with periods of high refrigerator
use, full grocery loads, or temporarily warm room temperatures.
■ Fast Cool feature is available under Tools > Cooling Features
> Fast Cool.
■ When pressed, “Fast Cool - On” will appear on screen and
on Clock screen.
■ To turn off Fast Cool, simply press press same icon again.
“Fast Cool - Off” will appear on screen.
■ The Fast Cool feature will remain on for 24 hours unless
manually turned off. Adjusting the refrigerator temperature will
automatically turn off the Fast Cool feature.
NOTE: Setting the freezer to a colder temperature may make
some foods, such as ice cream, harder.
Water Filter Reset
Displays the status of the water filter.
NOTE: The Water Filter status lights on the external controls will
let you know when to change your water filter.
To change the filter, go to Tools > Water Filter.
To Reset Filter:
1. Select INSTALL NEW, and follow instructions on screen to
reset.
2. Follow instructions in the “Filters and Accessories” section to
purchase lter.
No Freezer Burn Mode
This feature minimizes moisture migration from frozen food. This
in turn reduces the freezer burn occurrence. To turn on the No
Freezer Burn mode, toggle to the coldest freezer temperature
set point. To turn off the No Freezer Burn mode, toggle from
the coldest freezer set point to any other temperature. This
feature will also turn on when the freezer reaches the ice-making
temperature.
