TTY UseWith Sprint Service
A TTY(teletypewriter, also known as a TDD orText
Telephone) is a telecommunications device that allows
people who are deaf, hard of hearing, orwho have
speech orlanguage disabilities, to communicate by
telephone.
Your phone is compatible with select TTYdevices.
Please check with the manufacturerof yourTTYdevice
to ensure that it supports digital wireless transmission.
Your phone and TTYdevice will connect via a special
cable that plugs into yourphone’s headset jack. If this
cable was not provided with yourTTY device, contact
yourTTY device manufacturerto purchase the
connectorcable.
When establishing yourSprint service, please call Sprint
CustomerService via the state Telecommunications
Relay Service (TRS) by first dialing . Then
provide the state TRS with this number:
866-727-4889

To turn TTYMode on or off:
1. Highlight and press
> Settings > More... >
Accessibility > TTY
. (An informational message will
be displayed.)
2. Press .
3. Select
On
to turn TTY mode on.

Off
to turn TTY mode off.
Note
IfTTYmode is enabled, the audio quality of non-TTY
devices connected to the headset jack may be
impaired.
