Problem Possible cause and remedy
The compressor is
switching
on more
frequently and for
longer periods of time,
so the temperature in
the appliance is
dropping.
The temperature setting is too low.
Corr
ect the temperature setting.
The door is not properly closed.
Check whether the appliance door closes
pr
operly.
A large amount of food is being frozen at once.
See "F
reezing and storing food".
The SuperFreeze function is still switched on.
Y
ou can switch off the SuperFreeze function earlier
to save energy:
Touch the SuperFreeze sensor.
The compressor comes
on less and less often
and for shorter periods
of time. The
temperature in the
appliance rises.
This is not a fault. The set temperature is too high.
Corr
ect the temperature setting.
Check the t
emperature again after 24 hours.
The food begins to defrost.
The r
oom temperature is lower than the ambient
temperature for which the appliance is designed.
Operating in a room which is too cold will cause the
compressor to switch off for too long, causing the
freezer to become too warm.
See "I
nstallation advice - Location".
Raise the t
emperature of the room.
An LED indicator light is
flashing at the back of
the appliance at the
bott
om near the
compressor (depending
on model).
This is not a fault. The electronic unit for the
compressor is equipped with an operation and fault
diagnosis LED indicator light which flashes every 15
seconds (depending on model).
