Samsung WF16T9500GV/SA Questions and Answers

#1 How to level a Front Loader?

Adjusting the leveling feet
- Loosen the locking nuts of the leveling feet using a wrench.
- Turn the clamp nut clockwise to loosen. Level the washing machine by manually adjusting the levelling feet with a spanner.
- To raise the height, turn the clamp (height nut) counterclockwise.
To lower the door, turn the clamp (height nut) clockwise.
When complete, tighten the clamp nut by turning it counterclockwise.
- Check the level by using a leveler (All 4 sides of the machine should be leveled.)
- If excessive vibration or spinning occurs, end the cycle and readjust the left/right side of the legs.

#2 Why does my washing machine display SUDS on the screen?

If your washing machine displays SUDS on the screen, it has detected an over-sudsing condition, and will stop for a short period to allow the suds to dissipate. This error code is usually caused by too much detergent, or the wrong type of detergent.
SUDS Error Code - When the machine has detected excess suds and the "SUDS" error code is displayed, the cycle should continue after the suds have dissipated.
Recommendations - Samsung recommends using "HE" (High Efficiency) detergent, which is designed specifically for high efficiency front loader washing machines. "HE" detergent has high efficiency cleaning capabilities with low sudsing properties. Non "HE" detergent normally has high sudsing properties, and will cause excessive amounts of suds in your machine.
If you are already using "HE" detergent and your washing machine is displaying the "SUDS" error code, you may be using too much detergent. Please follow the detergent manufacturer's suggested amount of detergent. There are many different concentrations of laundry detergent. For example: 1x, 2x and 3x. Be sure to reduce the amount of laundry detergent accordingly.

#3 What can I do when my washing machine suddenly stops during operation?

Basic things to check:
- Close the door and press and hold Start/Pause (Hold to Start)
- If the washing machine is not supplied with sufficient power, the washing machine will not drain or spin temporarily. (As soon as the washing machine regains power, it will operate normally)
- The appliance may appear temporarily stopped during a dry cycle, e.g. wool course or a soak period

#4 Disable End of Cycle Melody on your Washing Machine

If you would like to turn off the end of cycle melody on your washing machines, follow the general guide below to get started.
Please be advised that the guide below is a general guide, as designs and features can vary depending on the model of your washing machine. It is recommended that you refer to your user manual for more detailed instructions that are specific to your model.
Most washing machines will have a alarm icon bell icon that indicates the Sound On/Off option for the washing machine. It will often be found under 1 or 2 buttons (as shown in the example above). To disable the melody, you will need to press the 1 button, or simutaneously the 2 buttons, for 3 seconds. When disabled the alarm icon bell icon will light up. To re-enable, you simply do the same.
If you do not see the bell icon bell icon on the control panel of your washing machine, it can also appear as an Alarm Off button that you can press.
If none of the above has applied to your washing machine and your control panel looks similar to the one below, then the following steps can help.
1. Tap and hold the hand hand icon for 3 seconds.
2. Turn the Navigation dial to select Alarm, and then tap the circle circle icon.
3. Tap the circle circle icon to select On or Off.

#5 How long do Samsung washing machines last?

It is typically recommended to replace any large appliance, such as a washing machine, every eight years, but your washing machine could potentially last up to 14 years with proper upkeep and maintenance.

#6 How to Cleaning the Door and Drum of your Samsung Washing Machine?

It is important to regularly clean the door and the drum of your washing machine to prevent any build-up of bacterias that can cause bad odours. It is recommended to clean the drum of your washing machine once a month.
Samsung washing machines have a self-cleaning cycle called Drum Clean* (or, Drum Clean+), which heats up water up to 60 °C and 70 °C to remove any bacteria or build-up from the drum of your washing machine. This can also remove any dirt that has accumulated in the rubber door gasket.
