ADJUSTING FENCE SQUARENESS (FIG. 20)
ŏ Remove both sliding fences (1) by loosening the
sliding fence lock knobs (2).
ŏ Lower the cutting arm and lock in position.
ŏ Loosen the four fence locking bolts (3) using a
5 mm
hex wrench.
ŏ Using a square (4), lay the heel of the square
against the blade and the ruler against the
fence (1) as shown.
ŏ Adjust the fence to be 90° to the blade and
tighten the four fence locking bolts (3).
NOTE: If the saw has not been used recently,
recheck blade squareness to the fence and
readjust if needed.
ŏ After fence has been aligned, make a cut at 90
o
using a scrap of wood and check squareness on
the piece. Readjust if necessary.

cuts to check the path of the blade and the operation
of the guards. Ensure the fence does not interfere
with the action of the saw or guards.
REMOVING OR INSTALLING THE SLIDING
FENCE (FIG. 21)
At some extreme angles, the right or left side
fence might have to be removed to ensure
proper clearance prior to making the cut.
The right/left side sliding fence must be removed
when making right/left bevel angle cuts greater than
33.9° and in combination with right/left miter angle
at 45°.

locking knob (1) by turning it counterclockwise,
then slide the fence (2) out from the fence front
position slot.

NOTE: This miter saw is equipped to cut wide
