INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Equipment Commissioning and Performance
5-minute delay function
The compressor has a 5-minute delay for restarting.
Cooling/heating operation
Indoor units can be controlled individually, but cannot run
in cool and heat mode at the same time. The unit will run
in the mode, heating or cooling, that was set first. The unit
will then run in the opposite mode when the first mode is
satisfied. The unit cannot run in other modes if the control
is set to run only in the selected mode.
Heating mode characteristic
Indoor fan will turn to low speed or stop when
temperature approaches set point.
Defrosting in heating mode
Outdoor defrost cycles will affect heating efficiency. The
unit will automatically defrost when needed. Defrost
cycles last from 2 to 10 minutes. Water will drain off the

will run at low speed or stop, and outdoor fans will stop.
The unit operation condition
Operate the system within the temperature limits
specified in this manual. Operating outside the specified
range may cause errors or safety switch protections.
The relative humidity should be lower than 80%.
Operating the unit at humidity levels above 80% for an
extended period may cause condensate water to blow off
the indoor coil.
Protection device (such as high pressure switch)
High pressure switch is the device which can stop the
unit automatically when the unit runs abnormally. The
high pressure switch will stop the unit immediately, but
the running LED on the wired controller will still be lit. The
wired controller will display failure code.
The protection devices will operate when the following
incidents occur:
When the outdoor coil is clogged, or if the outdoor fan
inlet or outlet is blocked while in cooling mode.
The indoor filter is blocked with dust and dirt or if the
indoor unit outlet is blocked while in heating mode.
Please reset the power after correcting the cause of the
protection device action.
Power failure
• All operations will stop during a power failure.
Machine will start automatically when power is restored
provided it is configured to do so. System will need to be
manually restarted if auto restart is not enabled.
Abnormal operation during power interruptions or RF
interference will require a manual power reset.
Heating capacity
Heat pumps inherently experience a reduction in capacity
during very cold outdoor temperatures. The inverter in
MRV systems helps to compensate for that phenomenon.
System marks
Outdoor unit power disconnect switches should be
marked with the unit ID number especially when multiple
systems are installed. See example below:
Indoor model:
Room No.
e.g. Indoor A, system 1, Floor 2 2F-1A
Trial Operation
Before trial operation:
Measure the resistance between L1 and L2 and ground

the unit cannot operate.
The outdoor unit must be powered on at least 6 hours
prior to operation in order to protect the compressor.

Open all the refrigerant service valves fully before
operating outdoor units or compressor failure will occur.
Check to make sure all indoor units are powered up, and
all isolation valves are open or unit freezing can occur.
Use manifold gauges when first turning on the equipment
to check for normal operating pressures.
Trial operation
Run the system in trial mode to start system at mild
temperatures.
Move and scrap the air conditioning unit
When moving, to disassemble and re-install the air
conditioning, please contact your dealer for technical
support.
In the composition material of air conditioning, the
content of lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium,
polybrominated biphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl
ethers are not more than 0.1% (mass fraction) and
cadmium is not more than 0.01% (mass fraction).
Please recycle the refrigerant before scrapping, moving,

qualified enterprises.
