Before each drying
Checking the machine
Make sure you have read all safety precautions in this manual and are aware of the
items (listed on page 6) that cause a hazard if placed in the clothes dryer.
The clothes dryer is intended only for drying textile material that has been washed in
water and well spin-dried. Thoroughly spin the laundry in your washing machine on a
high spin speed, which can reduce the drying time and save energy consumption.
Make sure the lint filters are clean and properly in place.
Can it be tumble dried?
Check and ensure that none of the items to be dried have the following symbols
anywhere on them (Fig. 6), which indicate that items are UNSUITABLE for tumble
drying.

Never tumble dry the following: particularly delicate items such as net curtains, woollen
or silk fabrics, textiles with metal trim, nylon tights, bulky items such as anoraks,
blankets, eiderdown or feather quilts, sleeping bags and any items containing rubber
foam or similar materials.
Knitted textiles may shrink a little when tumble dried. Please do not over-dry such
items. Allow for shrinkage when choosing the size of new purchases.
The following labels (Fig. 7) indicate that items are SUITABLE for tumble drying.
