or if the instruction below does not help, set this unit to the standby mode, disconnect the power cord and contact the
nearest authorized YAMAHA dealer or service center.
General
This unit fails to turn on when
STANDBY/ON is pressed, or enters
the standby mode soon after the
power has been turned on.

This unit suddenly enters the
standby mode.
No sound
The sound suddenly goes_f.
The power supply cable is not firmly
connected to the AC wall outlet.
This unit has been exposed to a strong
external electric shock (such as lighming
and strong static electricity).
Tile internal temperature becomes too
high and the overheat protection circuitry
has been activated.
The sleep timer has turned the unit off.
Incorrect input or output cable
connection s.
Connect the power supply cable firmly to
the AC wall outlet.
Set this unit to the standby mode,
disconnect the power cable, plug it back
in after 3(}seconds, then use it normally.
Wait about 1 hour for this unit to cool
down and then mrn it back on.
Turn on the power, and play the source
again.
Connect the cables properly. If the 14
problem persists, the cables may be
deli:ctive.
No appropriate input source has been Select an appropriate input source with 37
selected. INPUT or the input selector buttons.
The volume is turned down. Turn up the volume. 38
