Care and cleaning of the range.
Burner Grates and Vent Grille
Porcelain enamel burner grates and tlle
vent gnille should be washed regularly
and, of coxnse, after spillovers.
The grates may be washed eifller in file
dishwasher or you m W wash diem in hot
soapy water and xinse with clean WamL
You mW also use abrasNe cleaners and
scoxning pads to clean burner grams and
the vent grille. D_T the grams and grille
with a cloth--don't put them back on the
cookmp wet.
To get xid of burned-on food, place file
grams and gxille in a covered containeL
Add 1/4 cup (59 mI,) ammonia and let
them soak several hours or overnight.
_rash, xinse well and dry.
Although they're dund)le, die grams
and gxille will gradually lose dleir shine,
regardless of the best care you can give
them. This is due to their continual
exposure to high temperatures.
Do not operate a burner for an extended
period of time widlout cookware on the
grate. The finish on tile grate may chip
widlout cookware to absorb the heat.
After cleaning, replace die cenmr vent
grille first. Replace the side grams so that
the cenmr exmnsions are oriented toward
tile cenmr of the cookmp. The rear
center exmnsions should slightly overlap
the vent grille. Make sure the grates are
positioned securely over tile burners and
that they are stable and level.
RubberGrateFeet
Fox stabilitT, your cooktop has rubber
feet on the burner grates. If any of these
rubber feet should become damaged or
lost, replace diem immediamly:

Cooktop Surface
To avoid damaging the porcelain enamel
surface of tile cookmp and m prevent it
flom becoming dull, clean up spills fight
away. Foods with a lot of acid (tomatoes,
sauerkraut, fluitj uices, etc.) or foods with
high sugar content could cause a dull
spot if aUowed m set.
When the surface has cooled, wash
and rinse. Fox other spills such as fat
spatmxings, etc., wash with soap and wamr
once the surface has cooled. Then rinse
and polish with a dxT cloth.

storeor usecombustiblematerials,gasoline
orotherflammablevaporsandliquidsinthe
vicinityof thisoranyotherappliance.

Control Knobs
Thecontrolknobsmayberemovedforeasier
cleaning.
Make sure the knobs are in tlle OFF
positions and pull them straight off the
stems for cleaning.
The knobs can be cleaned in a
dishwasher or they may also be washed
with soap and wateL Make sure the insides
of the knobs are dxT before replacing.
Replace tile knobs in tile OFFposition
to ensure proper placement.
