Manual VIN Input
For some vehicles that do not support the Auto VIN Scan function, the MaxiSys
diagnostics system allows you to enter the vehicle VIN manually, or simply take a photo
of the VIN sticker for quick vehicle identification.
To perform Manual VIN Input
1. Tap the Diagnostics application button from the MaxiSys Job Menu. The
Vehicle Menu appears.
2. Tap the VID button on the top toolbar.
3. Select Manual Input.
4. Tap the input box and enter the correct VIN or license number.

5. Tap OK. The vehicle will be identified in a few seconds, and once the matching
is successful, the system will guide you to the Vehicle Diagnostics screen
directly.
6. Tap “x” to exit Manual Input.
Scan VIN/License
Tap Scan VIN/License (
Figure 4-1) in the drop-down list. The camera will launch. On
the right side of the screen, three options are available: Scan Bar Code, Scan VIN, and
Scan License.
NOTE
The Scan License option is supported in certain countries and areas. If not available,
manually enter the license number.
