GAS EQUIPMENT VENTING SYSTEM NOT
PROVIDED
When the manufacturer of a Product Approved
side wall horizontally vented gas fueled equipment
does not provide the parts for venting the ue
gases, but identies “special venting systems”, the
following requirements shall be satised by the
manufacturer:
The referenced “special venting system
instructions shall be included with the appliance
or equipment installation instructions; and
The “special venting systems” shall be Product
Approved by the Board, and the instructions for
that system shall include a parts list and detailed
installation instructions.
A copy of all installation instructions for all Product
Approved side wall horizontally vented gas fueled
equipment, all venting instructions, all parts lists
for venting instructions, and/or all venting design
instructions shall remain with the appliance or
equipment at the completion of the installation.

FAILURE TO KEEP PRIMARY AIR OPENING(S)
OF THE BURNER(S) CLEAN MAY RESULT IN
SOOT AND PROPERTY DAMAGE.

INTO FIREPLACE. AVOID ANY DRAFTS THAT
ALTER BURNER FLAME PATTERNS.

NOTE: When burning any unit or appliance that
combusts fuel for heat, such as coal, oil, wood
or natural and (L.P.) liquid petroleum gas, we
highly recommend the use of smoke and carbon
monoxide detectors in your home.
CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING
Early signs of carbon monoxide poisoning are
similar to the u with headaches, dizziness, and/
or nausea. If you have these signs, the stove may
not have been installed properly. Get fresh air at
once! Have the stove inspected and serviced by a
qualied service person. Some people are more
affected by carbon monoxide than others. These
include pregnant women, people with heart or
lung disease or anemia, those under the inuence
of alcohol, and those at high altitudes. Propane/
LP gas and natural gas are both odorless. An odor-
making agent is added to each of these gases. The
odor helps you detect a gas leak. However, the odor
added to these gases can fade. Gas may be present
