HfCO2 is usedfor draft beer dispensing,the systemmustbe adequatdy protected
againstexcessivepressurebuild-up. Thiscan be accomplishedby installingat least
two safety deviceswith adequate relief capacity in the system.
Safetydevicesshould be installed in the following places:
A. On or immediatelydownstreamfrom the CO2 regulaton
B_On the tapping deviceitself.
C_h-line in the pressuresystem.
Note: LocationsA and Bnoted above are preferable, Hfpossible,theyshould be
built into the CO2 regulator and tapping deviceso that the>"cannotbe
removedor by-passed.

Dispensing Beer
Followthe stepsbelow to dispensebeer.
1. Make surethat the beer dispenseris plugged in properly to a 120V, 60Hz,
15Amp groundedAC outlet.
2. Placethe drip tray under the beer faucet.
3. Open the beer faucetby pulling the tap towards you quickly and completelyto
dispensethe been
Note: If for any reasonthe beer does not come out of the tap, refer to the
trouble-shootingguide on page 17.
4. Increasethe pressureif the beer runstoo slowly. At the correct pressureand
temperature,a 10oz. glassshould be filled in 4 seconds_
5. Hold the glass steadyat a 45° angJe_When it is 2/3 fuji, start straighteningthe
glass. Properfoam should bea tight creamy head and the collar on an average
glassshould be 3/4" to 1" high.
Note: It is normal to seecondensationforming on the outer surfaceof the faucet. It
is causedby thedifference in temperaturebetweenthe cold beer and the
inner surfacesof the faucetwhen beer is flowing through the line.
