Was good cookware/bakeware of the proper size used?
Was the oven vent covered or blocked on the range
surface?
Are you using a tested recipe from a retiabie source?
Have you used aluminum foil correctly?
Baking results differ from previous oven
Oven thermostat calibration may differ between old and
new oven. The newer oven thermostat may be more
accurate than the one on your previous oven. Follow a
reliable recipe and review baking information on pages
18 to 19. If you still feel the oven temperature is
incorrect see page 27 for information on adjusting the
oven thermostat.
Food does not broil correctly
Was the control set properly for broiling? (See page
23)
Was the proper rack position used? (See page 21.)
Did you allow time for the broil element to preheat?
Did you use the broiler pan that came with the range?
Was aluminum foil used on the broiler insert, blocking
the slits for fat drainage?
Was the oven door opened to the broil stop position?
Oven light does not operate
ls the bulb loose or burned out?
ls the light switch in the On position?
Oven will not self-clean
Is the self-clean control set properly? (See pages
25-26.)
Is the oven set for a delayed clean operation?
Is the oven door properly locked?
Was the oven heavily soiled?
Oven door will not lock
Are the controls properly set for the self-clean cycle?
Oven door will not unlock
Has the self-clean cycle been completed for at least
one hour?
Was the door correctly unlocked?
Is the LOCK indicator word in the display?
"F" plus a number appears in the display
This is a fault code. If a fault code appears in the
display and a continuous beep sounds, press the
CANCEL pad. If the beeps continue, call an authorized
servicer. See page 27 for additional information.
