The refrigerator does
not work
It is not connected to the power supply - Plug the power cord into a grounded 3-prong outlet.
Donot use an extension cord.
There is no power to the outlet - Plug in a lamp to see if the contact is working.
Household fuse blown or circuit breaker tripped - Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker.
If the problem continues, contact an authorized electrician.
New Installation - Allow 24 hours following installation for the refrigerator and the freezer to cool
completely.
NOTE: Adjusting the temperature control(s) to the coldest setting will not cool the compartment (the
refrigerator or the freezer) more quickly.
The motor seems to run
too much
Your new refrigerator has a power-saving motor – Your refrigerator may run even longer than you
are used to, since the compressor and the fans operate at lower speeds, thus saving greater power.
This is normal.
NOTE: The refrigerator may operate longer if the room is hot, if a major amount of food has been
added, if the doors are opened frequently or if a door has been left open.
The refrigerator is noisy Your new refrigerator’s compressor regulates the temperature much more efciently and uses less
power than the previous models. During different operating stages, you may notice unfamiliar noises
that are actually normal.
Following are some normal sounds:
Buzzing/Clicking - It is heard when the water valve opens to dispense water or to ll the ice maker.
If the refrigerator is connected to a water pipe, this is normal. If the refrigerator is not connected to a
water pipe, switch off the ice maker.
Creaking/Crackling- It is heard when the ice is being ejected from the ice maker mold.
Popping - It is heard during the contraction/expansion of inside walls, especially during initial cool-
down.
Pulsating - Fans/compressor adjusting to optimize performance during normal operation.
Rattling - It is heard when the water runs through the water line or due to the ow of refrigerant.
Rattling may also be caused when items are placed on top of the refrigerator.
Water running or bubbling/gurgling - This is heard when ice melts during the defrost cycle and
water runs into the drain pan.
Sizzling- It is heard that when the water drips onto the heater during the defrost cycle.
