Using the Menus: Shooting Mode
FMOVIE AF MODE
This option controls how the camera selects the focus area for movies.
Option Description
r CENTER
The camera focuses on the subject in the center of the frame.
u CONTINUOUS
The camera continuously adjusts focus to reflect changes in the distance to
subjects near the center of the frame.
R Note that in u mode, the camera focuses continuously, increasing the drain on the battery,
and that the sound of the camera focusing may be audible.
V MOVIE MODE (default: i)
Choose a frame size for movies.

i 1920 × 1080 (60fps)
Full HD (High Definition).
i 1920 × 1080 (30fps)
h 1280
× 720

High Definition.
f 640 × 480 (30fps) Standard definition.
k 640 × 480 (120 fps)
High speed movie.
Q Sound is not recorded, and focus, exposure, and white balance
are not adjusted automatically.
Q Zoom can not be adjusted.
k 320 × 240 (240 fps)
k 160 × 120 (320 fps)
Q When pictures are recorded to internal memory, the default value is set to f 640 × 480.
Q No face is detected when shooting in i 1920 × 1080 (60fps).
