INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Step 5: Plug in your dryer
Make sure that all exhaust and electrical connections are complete, then plug your
dryer into the electrical outlet.
Step 6: Check the final installation
• Before you use your dryer, make sure that:
• The dryer is plugged into an electrical outlet and is properly grounded.
• The dryer is level and sits firmly on the floor.
• Start your dryer to confirm that it runs, heats, and shuts off.
Stacking your washer and dryer (optional)
With the included stacking kit, your dryer can be stacked on top of your
NS-FWM27W1 2.7 cu. ft. washer. This kit is not approved for stacking with other
models.
Before you begin, make sure that you have the correct washer model and a drill.
Important: Before you connect the power cord, review the electric
requirements in Electric requirements
on page 18.
Before testing or operating your dryer, make sure that your dryer is grounded.
See Grounding requirements on page 19.
WARNING:
• This stacking kit only works with the Insignia brand washer (NS-FWM27W1)
and dryer (NS-FDRE44W1/NS-FDRE44W1-C).
• Installation must be performed by a qualified installer.
• More than two people are required to lift the dryer into position because of
its weight and size. Failure to do so could result in personal injury or death.
• DANGER: Incorrect installation may lead to a safety accident. Keep kids, the
elderly, and pets away from the installation area.
• Both washer and dryer must be powered off during stacking kit installation.
• The dryer must be stacked on top of a washer. Do NOT place a washer on top
of your dryer.
