INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
If a power cord is not used and the electric dryer is to be permanently wired,
this appliance must be connected to a grounded metal, permanent wiring
system, or an equipment-grounding conductor must be run with the circuit
conductors and connected to the equipment-grounding terminal or lead on
the appliance.

Before you start
Before you start installing your dryer, make sure that:
The location you selected has a grounded electrical outlet. See Grounding
requirements on page 19.
For U.S. models, you have the correct type power cord (not included). See
Electric requirements
on page 18.
Note: For Canadian models, the power cord comes pre-installed.
WARNING:
Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in a
risk of electric shock. Check with a qualified electrician or service
representative or personnel, if you are in doubt as to whether the appliance
is properly grounded.
Certain internal parts are intentionally not grounded and may present a risk
of electric shock only during servicing. Service Personnel - Do not contact
the following parts while the appliance is energized: main motor and
cooling fan (located on blower housing).
Important: We recommend that you use a qualified installer to install your
dryer.
