Important safety instructions
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
Never leave surface elements unattended at high heat
settings - Boilovers cause smoking and greasy spillovers
that may ignite. A pan that has boiled dry may melt.
Metallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons, and lids
should not be placed on the Induction Cooktop surface since
they can get hot.
When preparing aming foods under a ventilating hood,
turn the fan on.
Use care when touching the cooktop. The glass surface of
the cooktop will retain heat after the controls have been
turned off.
Always turn the surface units off before removing cookware.
Keep an eye on foods being fried at high or medium high
heat settings.
Be careful when placing spoons or other stirring utensils
on the glass cooktop surface when it is in use. They may
become hot and could cause burns.
Do not lift the cooktop. Lifting the cooktop can lead to
damage and improper operation of the range.
Never use the glass cooktop surface as a cutting board.
Do not operate the cooktop without cookware.
Appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an
external timer or separate remote-control system.
INDUCTION COOKTOP ELEMENTS
Be sure you know which touch control operates each
surface heating unit. Place a pan of food on the unit before
turning it on, and turn the unit off before removing the pan.
Use proper pan sizes - This appliance is equipped with
surface units of different sizes. Select pots and pans that
have at bottoms large enough to cover the surface area of
the heating element. Using undersized cookware will expose
a portion of the heating element to direct contact and may
result in the ignition of clothing. Matching the size of the
pot or pan to the burner will also improve efciency.
Cookware handles should be turned inward and not extend
over adjacent surface elements - To reduce the risk of
burns, ignition of ammable materials, and spillage due to
unintentional contact with the cookware, cookware handles
should be positioned so that they are turned inward, and do
not extend over adjacent surface units.
Glazed cookware - Only certain types of glass, glass/
ceramic, ceramic, earthenware, or other glazed cookware are
suitable for range-top service without breaking due to the
sudden change in temperature.
