Enabling Multi-Feed detection
The multi-feed detection feature allows you to detect overlapped documents that go
through the scanner. Multi-Feed usually occurs due to stapled documents, adhesives
on documents, or electro-statically charged documents.
Additional Length Detection: Additional Length Detection allows you to define
the length of document being multi-fed. This value indicates the additional
length exceeding your scan area. A value of 0 indicates no additional length
detection. For the specified measuring unit, please refer to the Unit drop-down
list box on the Paper tab.
Ultrasonic Detection: Ultrasonic Detection allows you to set overlapped
document by detecting paper thickness between documents. Note：The
availability of this feature varied depending on scanner type.
Once multi-feed is detected, the scanning operation will not be stopped. Instead, a
multi-feed detection message will be displayed.
