Configuring the Soundbar without the Sennheiser Smart Control
app
Connect your smartphone or computer to the Soundbar’s WiFi
hotspot.
The Soundbar’s WiFi network name is “AMBEO Soundbar [serial
number]”.
Go to the Soundbar page in your web browser
(address: http://192.168.255.249/
or, if the Soundbar and your smartphone or computer are on the
same network, go to: http://ambeo).
Starting the room calibration
The room calibration is necessary for the measurement of the room
in order to let you get the optimum spatial sound experience.
Therefore, the room calibration should be performed when
the Soundbar is put into operation for the first time in a room,
the position of the Soundbar has been changed,
a subwoofer has been connected or disconnected, or
the room has been changed (e.g. furniture has been moved).
Preparing the calibration
Connect the Soundbar to the power supply system (> 38).
The Soundbar switches on. This process takes about 20 seconds.
The LED status bar lights up white.
Make sure that the microphones of the Soundbar are not muted
(> 48).
Make sure that the subwoofers are set up correctly and con-
nected to the power supply system (> 25, > 39).
Make sure that it is quiet in the room where you calibrate the
Soundbar.
If the initial connection between the Smart Control and the
Soundbar via Bluetooth fails, the Soundbar may have already
been paired with the smartphone via Bluetooth.
In this case, you have to delete all entries of the Soundbar in the
Bluetooth menu of the smartphone.
Then start a new connection attempt.
