5. CLI Commands
telnet port
Use the telnet port command to set the port number to use for the Telnet service. The default port number for the Telnet
service is 23.
Syntax
telnet port <port-number>
• port-number – Specifies the port to use for the Telnet service (Range: 1-65535).
Examples
The following example changes the port to use for the Telnet service to 24:
console> telnet port 24
Update complete
NOTE: Use the “apply network” command to complete the change. This may cause a system
reboot.
show telnet
Use the show telnet command to display the current settings for the Telnet service.
Syntax
show telnet [status | port]
Examples
The following command displays all Telnet service information.
console> show telnet
Telnet Status : enabled
Telnet Port : 22
