Reverse
a. Releasethedrivecontrolher (fig.'10).
b. Movethrottlecontrol(fig.10) to "SLOW"speed
c. Placeshiftlever indicator (fig.11 -inset A) in the "R"
(reverse)pos_on.
d. Donotstanddirectlybehindfiller.
e. Holdthe drivecontrol bar againstthe handle(fig.10) to
starttillermovement.Tineswillnotturn.
WARNING!
Don1 back yourself into a solid obstruction such as a tree,
fence, etc.

Stopping tines and engine
a. TiUermovement and fines willstop when drive control bar
(fig. 10) is released.
b. Move shiftlever indicator(fig. 11 -inset A) to"N" (Neutral)
position.
c. To stop engine, move throttle control (fig. 10) to "STOP"
position.
Tuming
a. Releaso the drive controlbar (fig. 10).
b. Move throttle control (fig. 10) to "SLOW" position.
c. Place shift lever indicator(fig.11 - inset A) in"P (forward)
po6ition. Tines will not turn.
d. Lift handle to raise tines out of the ground (fig. 10)
e. Swinc,:,_the handle in the opposite direction you wish to
turn, being careful to keep feel and legs away from the
tines.
When you have completed your turn-around, lowerthe handle.
Place shift lever indicator in ='1"(tilling) position and move
throttle control to desired speed. To begin tilling, hold drive
control bar against the handle.

Outer side shields
The back of the outer side shields (fig. 10) are slotted so that
they can be raised for deep tilling and lowered for shallow
filling to protect small plants from being buried. Loosen nut
"A"in slot and nut"B". Move shield to desired position (both
sides). Retighten nuts.

15. Depth stake
Transporting
a. Lower the depth stake to its lowest position and insert
the depth stake pin in the topmost hole.
b. Place shiftlever indicator (fig. 11 inset A) in "F" (foward)
position fortransporting.
c. Hold the drive control bar against the handle (fig. 10) to
start tiller movement. Tines will not turn.
d. Move throttle control (fig. 10) to desired speed.
