How to Delay the Start of Cleaning
Youcan set the ovencontrol to delay-start the
oven,dean for o specific length of time and
then turn off automatically.
Make sure the clock shows the correct time
of day.
Followthe directions in the Beforea Clean
Cyclesection,
[] If your model has a latch, latch the dooE
NOTE:Never force the latch, If the oven is too
hot, you will not be able to slidethe latch.
Allow the oven to cool.
[] Touch the Self Clean pad.
[] Touch the + or- pads to set the
CleanTime.
TheCleonTime is preset for 4 hours and
20 minutes. Youcon change the CleanTime to
any time between 3 and 5 hours, depending
on the amount of soil in your oven. If a
different Clean Timeis desired, touch the + or -
pods until the desired CleonTime is displayed.
[] Touch the Start- Timepad.
Changethe Start Timeby touching the + or -
pods. The start time will appear in the display.
[] Touch the Start/On pad.
The oven control will signal if you set the
clean cgcle and forget to close the oven door
or forget to latch the door on models with
a latch.
Onmodels without a door latch, the door
locks automatically. The displag will show the
start time. It will not be possible to open the
oven door until the temperature drops below
the lock temperature and the Self Clean light
goes off.
The self-clean cgcle will automatically begin
at the time set.
While the oven is self-cleaning, you can touch
the Clock pad to displag the time of dag. To
return to the clean countdown, touch the
Self Clean pad.
The oven shuts off automatically when the
clean cycle is complete, and 0:00willflash
inthe display.
[] When the Self Clean light is off, slidethe
latch handle to the left as far as it will go
and open the dooE If your range does
not have a latch, the door willunlock
automatically.
To Stop a Clean Cycle
Touch the Clear/Off pad.
When the Self Clean light goes off indicating
the oven has cooled below the locking
temperature, unlatch the door (on models
with a latch) and open the dooE
After a Clean Cycle
Youcannot set the oven for cooking until
the oven is cool enough for the door to be
unlatched.
Youmay notice some white ash in the oven.
Wipe it up with a damp cloth after the
ovencools.
If white spots remain, remove them with a
soap-filled scouring pod and rinse thoroughly
with o vinegar and water mixture.
These deposits are usually a salt residue that
cannot be removed by the clean cycle.
If the oven is not clean after one clean cycle,
repeat the cgcle.

the oven is cool enough for the door
to unlock.
?_:While the oven is self-cleaning,you can
touch the Clock padto display the time of
day.To retum to the cleancountdown, touch
the Cooking Time pad.

small amount of vegetable oil or cooking oil
to a paper towel and wipe the edges of the
oven shelveswith the paper towel.
