Philips HR2375/05 Questions and Answers

#1 How should I clean the Philips Pasta Maker?

Detachable parts
The Pasta Maker's accessories and all detachable parts can be cleaned with water and washing up liquid. Do not use the abrasive side of the kitchen sponge or aggressive detergents (with abrasive ingredients or liquids such as petrol or acetone) as those will damage the surfaces.

Also, all parts except the front panel of 7000 Series/Avance Collection can be washed in the dishwasher. Make sure that you select a program with a temperature below 60°C (140°F), and remove bigger chunks of dough residues beforehand.

Tips:
Let the dough residues air-dry before cleaning, especially on the discs.
Use the supplied cleaning tool to poke the dough residues out of the disc before cleaning under the tap or in the dishwasher.
Main Unit and Control Panel
Use a dry cloth to clean the control panel and exterior of the Pasta Maker. Do not immerse the main unit in water.

#2 Can I dry and store pasta made with my Philips Pasta Maker?

Yes, you can dry and store home-made pasta made with Philips Pasta Maker. Please find our tips below.
Drying home-made pasta
Leave your pasta hanging on a wire or pasta rack in a dry space for at least 24 hours to let it dry. After that, transfer the pasta into a container and leave the container uncovered for four days.
Storing home-made pasta
Fresh-made pasta can be kept in the fridge for a few days. Sprinkle flour on the pasta to prevent sticking and then store it wrapped in plastic in the refrigerator.

For best results, partially cook the pasta before storage and complete the cooking when needed.
Note: You can also freeze pasta in the same way.

#3 Can I make multiple batches of fresh pasta with my Philips Pasta Maker?

To find out the best way to make consecutive batches of pasta using your Philips Pasta Maker, read the article below.
Making consecutive batches of pasta
Yes, you can make another batch of pasta after the first batch is finished. To ensure a longer lifetime for your Pasta Maker, we recommend limiting the duration for continuous use to a maximum of 45 minutes. You can resume using the appliance after letting it rest for a 15-minute switched-off period.

Also, clean the shaping disc with the supplied cleaning tool each time after use.
Note: If you would like to make another batch of pasta, follow the same steps from the first batch.
