REPLACING BAI"rERY
_CAUTION: Do notshortbattery
terminalsby allowinga wrench or any
other objecttocontact bothterminalsat
the same time. Before connectk',gbattery,
remove metal bracelets, wristwatch
bands, rings,etc.
Positive terminal must be connected first
to prevent sparking from accidental
grounding.
1. Lift seat pan to raised position and
open battery box door.
2. DisconnectBLACK battery cable first
then RED battery cab)e and carefully
remove battery from tractor.
3. installnew battery with terminalsin
same positionas old battery.
4. First connect RED batterycable to
positive (+) terminal with hex bolt and
keps nut as shown. Tighten securely.
5. Connect BLACK groundingcable to
negative (-) terminal with remaining
hex bolt and keps nut. Tighten
securely.
6. Close battery box door.

TO REPLACE FUSE
Replace with 15 amp automotive-type
plug-infuse. The fuse holderis legated
behind the dash.
TO REMOVE HOOD AND GRILL
ASSEMBLY
1. Raise hood.
2. Unsnap headlight wire connector.
3. Stand in front of tractor. Grasp hood
at sides, tilttoward engine and liftoff
oftractor,
4. To replace, reverse above procedure.

TO REPLACE HEADLIGHT BULB
1. Raise hood,
2. Pull bulb holderout of the hale in the
backside of the grill.
3. Replace bulb in holder and push
bulb holdersecurely back into the
hole in the backside of the grill.
4. Close hood.

factoryand adjustmentshouldnotbe
necessaly.Checkadjustmentas described
belowbefore leoseningcable. Ifadjustment
isnecessary,proceedas folbws:
1. Withenginenotrunning,movethmttfa
controlleverfrom slowtochokepe_len.
Slowlymove leverfrom choketofast
position.
