TO LEVEL MOWER HOUSING
Adjust the mower while tractoris parked
on level ground or driveway. Make sure
tires are properlyinflated (See *PROD-
UCT SPECIFICATIONS" sectionof this
manual). )f tiresare over or
underinflated, you will not propedy
adjustyour mower.
SIDE-TO*SIDE ADJUSTMENT
• Raise mowerto its highestposition,
• At the midpointofboth sides of mower,
measure heightfrom bottom edge of
mowerto ground. Distance "A" on
both sides of mower shouldbe the
same or within1/4" of each ether.
• If adjustmentisnecessary, make
adjustment on one side of mower only.
• To raise one side ofmower, tighten(ift
linkadjustmentnut on thatside.
• To lower one side of mower, loosen lift
link adjustmentnut on that side,
NOTE: Each f_h turn of adioslment nut
will change mower height about 1/8".
• Recheck measurements after adjust-
ing.

FRONT-TO-BACK ADJUSTMENT
IMPORTANT: Deck must be level side-to
side. If the followingfront-to-beck
adjustmentis necessary, be sure to
ad(ustboth front links equa(ly so mower
willstay level side-to.side.
To obtainthe best cuttingresults, the
mower housingshould be adjusted so
that the front is approximately1/8 to 1/2"
lowerthan the rear when the moweris in
its highest position.
Check adiustmenton rightside of tractor.
Measure distance =D"directlyin front
and behind the mandrel at bottom edge
of mower housing as shown.
• Before making any necessary adjust-
ments,check thatboth front linksare
equal in length. Both linksshould be
approximately 10-3/8".
• it links are not equal in length,adjust
one linkto=a_.melength as ether link.
• To lower front of mower loosen nut "E"
on both front links an equal number of
turns.
• When distance "D" is 1/8" to 1/2"lower
at front than rear, tightennuts=F"
against trunnionon both front links.
,, To raise front of mower,loosennut "F"
from trunniononboth front links.
Tighten nut "E" on both front links an
equat number of turns.
• When distance "D" is 1/8" to 1/2" lower
at front than rear, tighten nut'F"
against trunnion on both front lioks,
• Recheck side-to-side adjustment,
