POSSIBLE CAUSE
, Oven controls not properly set See the Broiling section.
• Oven door and/or broiler drawer motclosed.
• Improper shelf position being used See the Broiling section..
- Food is being cooked on a hot pan.
• Cookware is not suited for broiling.
- Aluminum foil used on the broiler pan grid has not been fitted properly
and slit as recommended.
- Oven bottom not securely seated in position.
• Oven temperature is too high to set self-cleaning operation.
Allow the range to cool to room temperature and reset the controls
• Oven Set knob not sel to CLEAN.
• Door latch handle not moved all the way to the right..
• Oven controls not set properly. See the Operating the Self-Cleaning
Oven section
• Heavily soiled ovens require at least 5 hours and 59 minutes of cleaning time
• Heavy spillovers should be cleaned up before starting clean cycle.
- The oven must cool below the locking temperature after the clean cycle
is complete.. Do not lock door with door latch except when using the
self-clean feature or the oven may lock.
• Turn the Oven Set knob to OFF,
• Improper air/gas ratio in oven_ Adjust oven burner air shutter.
° An odor from the insulation around the oven liner is normal for the first few
times oven is used. This is temporary.
• The drawer is out of alignment. Fully extend the drawer and push it all the way
in. See the Care and Cleaning section.
, The drawer is overloaded or toad is unbalanced. Reduce the weighL
Redistribute the drawer contents.
• A fuse in your home may be blown or the circuit breaker tripped. Replace the
fuse or reset the circuit breaker.
• The oven is self-cleaning. Wait for the self-clean cycle to finish and the
oven to cool.
• Controls improperly set. See the WARM-N-READY Drawer section.
• Liquid in WARM-N-READY drawer. Remove liquid.
• Uncovered foods. Cover food with lid or aluminum foil.
• "fi_mperature setting too high. Reduce temperature setting.
• Moisture escaping.. Cover food with lid or aluminum foil.
