LeakTestingValves, Hoseand Regulator
1,Turnall grill control knobs to OFF.
2.Besure regulatoris tightlyconnectedto LPcylinder.
3.CompletelyopenLP cylindervalve byturninghand
wheel counterclockwise.If youhear a rushingsound,
turn gas off immediately.Thereis a major leakat the
connection.Correct before proceeding.
4.Brushsoapysolution ontoareas circled below,orother
similarfittingson your grill.

5.If "growing" bubblesappear,there is a leak. Close
LPcylinder valveimmediatelyand retighten
connections.If leaks cannot be stopped do not try
to repair. Call for replacementparts.

Safety Tips
o Beforeopening LPcylindervalve,check the coupling
nutfor tightness.
o Whengrill is not in use,turn offall controlknobsand LP
cylindervalve.
o Never movegrill while in operationor still hot.
o Somesurfaceswill be hot duringuse. Uselong-
handledbarbecueutensilsand ovenmitts to avoid
burnsand splatters.
o Maximumloadfor sideburnerand side shelf is 10Ibs.
oThe greasetrayor cup must be installedduringuse
and emptiedafter eachuse.Do not removegreasetray
or cup untilgrill hascompletelycooled.
oCleangrill often, preferablyafter each cookout.If a
bristle brushis used to clean any of the grill cooking
surfaces,ensure no loosebristlesremainon cooking
surfacespriorto grilling.It is notrecommendedto clean
cookingsurfaceswhile grill is hot.
- If younoticegreaseor otherhot materialdrippingfrom
grill onto valve,hoseor regulator,turn off gas supply
at once. Determinethe cause,correct it,then clean
and inspectvalve, hoseand regulatorbefore
continuing.Performa leaktest.
oKeep ventilationopeningsincylinderenclosure(grill
cart) free and clear of debris.
oDo notstore objectsor materialsinsidethe grill cart
enclosurethat wouldblockthe flow of combustionair
to the undersideof eitherthe control panel orthe
firebox bowl.
o The regulatormay makea hummingor whistlingnoise
duringoperation.Thiswill not affect safetyor useof
grill.
o If you have a grill problemsee the "Troubleshooting"
Section.
o If the regulatorfrosts, turn off grill and LP cylinder
valveimmediately.This indicatesa problemwith the
cylinderand it should not be used on any product.

For Safe Use of Your Grill and to Avoid
Serious injury:
Do not let childrenoperateor play near grill.
Keepgrill area clear and free from materialsthat burn.
Do not blockholes insidesor back of grill.
Checkburnerflamesregularly.
Usegrill only inwell-ventilatedspace.NEVER use in
enclosedspace suchas carport,garage, porch,
covered patio, orunder an overheadstructureof any
kind.
Do not use charcoalorceramicbriquetsin a gas grill.
Do not covergrateswith aluminumfoil or anyother
material. This will blockburnerventilationand
createa potentiallydangerousconditionresulting
in propertydamageand/or personalinjury.
Usegrill at least 3 ft, from anywall or surface.
Maintain10 ft. clearanceto objectsthat can catch
fire or sourcesof ignitionsuch as pilot lightson water
heaters,liveelectricalappliances,etc.
NEVERattempt to light burner with lid
closed. A buildup of non-ignited gas
insidea closed grill is hazardous.
Neveroperate grill with LP cylinder out of
correct position specified in assembly
instructions,
Always close LP cylinder valve and remove
coupling nut before moving LP cylinder from
specified operation position.
, Apartment Dwellers:
Checkwith managementto learnthe requirements
and fire codesfor usingan LPgasgrill inyour
apartmentcomplex.If allowed,use outsideon the
groundfloor with a three (3) footclearancefrom
walls or rails.Do not use on or underbalconies.
Ignitor Lighting
o Do not lean over grill while lighting.
1, TurnO OFF gas burnercontrol valves.
2. TurnON gas at LPcylinder.
3. Open lid during lighting.
4. T,oignite,pushand turn IGNITIONBURNERknob to
HIGH.
5. Immediately,pushand hold ELECTRONICIGNITIOa
buttonuntil the burner lights.
6. If ignitionddoesNOToccur in 5 seconds,turnthe burner
controls(..,)OFF,wait 5 minutesand repeatthe lighting
procedure. If ignitor does not work,follow match lighting
instructions.
7. To igniteremainingburners,turn knob to the _ HIGH
positionstartingwith the burnersclosestto IGNITION
BURNERfirst.
8. For grills equipped with ELECTRONICIGNITIONat
each burner:
Repeatsteps4 through6 to light eachburner.
9. Onceeach burnerhas ignited,turn knobsto desired
setting.
Turncontrols and gas source or tank OFF
when not in use,

If ignition does NOToccur in 5 seconds, turn the
burner controls(,,)OFF,wait 5 minutes and repeat
the lighting procedure. If the burner does not ignite
with the valve open,gas will continue to flow out of
the burner and could accidently ignitewith risk of
injury.
Match-Lighting
o Donot lean over grill while lighting.
1, TurnO OFF gas burnercontrol valves.
2. TurnON gas at LPcylinder.
3. Open lid during lighting,
4. Placematch into match holder(hangingfromside panel
of grill). Lightmatch; thenlight burnerby placingmatch
throughthe match light holeon side of grill.
5. Push inand turn burnerknobto the _ HIGHposition.
Be sureburner lightsand stayslit.
6. Light adjacentburngrsinsequenceby pushingknobs in
andturningto the t,bHIGHposition.
