The SpeedBoost Function
Restrictions when using
the Speed Boost fu nction
Use this function to heat up the contents of the pan faster than by using the heat
setting g. This function allows you to increase the maximum power level of the
element in use.
The SpeedBoost function may be used providing that the other element in the same
group is not switched on. (See picture) For example, if you want to activate this
function on element 5, number 4 (located behind it) must be switched off, and vice
versa. Ifthis element is not off, the letter P and heat setting g will flash on the
element indicator; then it will return to heat setting g without activating the
function.The same applies to elements 1 and 2. In group 2, the Speedboost
function can be activated at the same time on all the elements. (see figure).

Follow the steps below:
1. Select an element.
2. Press the Boost symbol. The letter b will appear in the indicator. You have now
activated the function
Follow the steps below:
1. Select an element.
2. Press the Boost symbol. The letter b will no longer be displayed and the
element will return to heat setting g. The SpeedBoost function has been
deactivated.
NOTICE: In certain circumstances, the SpeedBoost function may be
deactivated automatically to protect the internal electronic components of the
cooktop.
