Open the luggage compartment lid ⇒ page 58, Luggage compartment lid.
Upper edge of the luggage compartment trim on the right-hand side: pull plastic strip ⇒

(1) in the direction of the arrow. The plastic strip will come out of the bracket.
Fold down the luggage compartment trim panel ⇒ fig. 169 A (2).
Fold down the luggage compartment side trim panel ⇒ fig. 169 A (3). This may require some force.
Pull release pin ⇒
fig. 170 A (1) in the direction of the arrow towards the housing (2). The fuel filler
flap is released when release flange ⇒
fig. 170 B (1) is pushed or pulled in the direction of the servo
housing
(2).
After releasing the fuel filler flap, fold the luggage compartment trim panels back into place and
reattach the plastic strip.
