Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Heater does not turn on. Not plugged in. Power outlet issue. Unit has tipped over. Ensure plug is firmly in outlet. Check outlet with another device. Place heater upright on a level surface.
Heater shuts off unexpectedly. Overheat protection activated. Tip-over protection activated. Reached set temperature in ECO mode. Turn off, unplug, and let cool. Check for blocked air vents. Ensure unit is upright. This is normal operation in ECO mode.
Remote control does not work. Batteries are dead or installed incorrectly. Heater is too far away. Replace the two AAA batteries. Ensure you are pointing the remote at the heater's front within a reasonable distance (approx. 16 feet).
Little or no heat. Set to fan-only mode. Thermostat set too low. Press the Mode button to select a heat setting. In ECO mode, increase the temperature setting.
Unusual noise or smell. Dust on heating element or fan. New unit may have a slight smell initially. Unplug, cool, and clean air inlets/outlets. A slight smell during first use is normal and should dissipate.
