Third row of seats
General information
The third row of seats consists of two divided
seats.
Fold up the backrest
WARNING
If a rear seat backrest is not locked, un‐
secured cargo can be thrown into the car's in‐
terior; for instance, in the event of an accident,
braking or an evasive maneuver. There is a risk
of injury. Make sure that the rear seat backrest
is locked after folding it back.◀
1.
Remove the cargo cover, refer to
page 196.
2. Pull the lever to unlock the backrest.
3. Fold up and engage the backrest.
4. Adjust the head restraint correctly as
needed.
Fold the backrests down

Move the head restraints down.
2. Pull the lever to unlock the backrests.
3. Fold the backrests down.
Safety belts
Number of safety belts and safety belt
buckles
The vehicle is fitted with five or seven safety
belts to ensure occupant safety. However, they
can only offer protection when adjusted cor‐
rectly.
The two outer safety belt buckles of the 2nd
row of seats are intended for the persons sit‐
ting on the left and right.
The center safety belt buckle of the 2nd row of
seats is intended for the person sitting in the
middle.
General information
Always make sure that safety belts are being
worn by all occupants before driving off. Al‐
though airbags enhance safety by providing
added protection, they are not a substitute for
safety belts.
The upper shoulder strap's anchorage point
will be correct for adult seat occupants of ev‐
ery build if the seat is correctly adjusted.
