Note: The time cannot be corrected if an automatic
function has been selected (see "Electronic clock" for
instructions on clearing the automatic function).
The first time it is used, the oven may give off smoke
or an acrid smell caused by the oily residue from
manufacturing. This could give an unpleasant odour
or taste to food. Before putting food in the oven,
heat to the maximum temperature for 30-40 min-
utes with the door closed and wait until the
smoke or odour has stopped.
To prevent any steam coming from the oven and
scalding, proceed as follows: turn the function selec-
tor to "0", or to the function; Open the door in
two stages: hold the door partly open (about 5 cm)
for approximately 4-5 seconds, then open it fully.
Should you need to move the food, open the oven
door as briefly as possible to prevent the temperature
in the oven falling to such an extent as to jeopardise
cooking.
Turn the function selector to the position and the
temperature selector to the desired temperature.
For differentiated heating above or beneath the food,
set the function selector to the position (top heat)
or (bottom heat).
Turn the function selector to the position for a
more uniform heating of the entire oven.
Once the oven has preheated and the food has been
placed in it, a draught of air can be felt between the
upper part of the door and the lower part of the hob.
If this is not the case, please switch the appli-
ance off and contact customer service immedi-
ately.
Turn the function selector to the position; turn the
temperature selector to the desired temperature.
