Deployment

Thelateralairbagsaredeployedunilaterallyintheevent

ofaserioussideimpactappliedtoallorpartoftheside

impactzoneB,perpendiculartothelongitudinalcentreline

ofthevehicleonahorizontalplaneanddirectedfromthe

outsidetowardstheinsideofthevehicle.

Thelateralairbagcontributestowardstheprotectionofthe

frontoccupantofthevehicle,betweenthelowerthorax

andthehead.

Systemthatcontributestowardsimprovingthe

protectionofthedriverandfrontpassengerin

theeventofaserioussideimpact,inorderto

limittheriskofinjurytothechest,betweenthe

hipandtheshoulder.

Eachlateralairbagisfittedintheseatbackrest

frame,doorside.

Impact detection zones

A. Frontimpactzone.

B. Sideimpactzone.

Ifthiswarninglampcomesoninthe

instrumentpanel,youmustcontact

aCITROËNdealeroraqualified

workshoptohavethesystem

checked.Theairbagsmaynolonger

bedeployedintheeventofaserious

impact.

Operating fault

Intheeventofaminorimpactorbump

onthesideofthevehicleorifthe

vehiclerollsover,theairbagmaynotbe

deployed.

In the event of a rear or front collision,

theairbagisnotdeployed.
