General problems with the dishwasher
Problem Possible cause and solution
The indicator lights and
the display are dark.
Only the "Start/Stop"
indicator light flashes
slowly.
The indicators and the display switch off
automatically to save energy (Standby mode).
Press the button. Standby comes to an end.
The following fault
message appears in the
display:
Salt container lid
The salt reservoir cover is not properly closed.
Close the salt reservoir cover.
If the salt reservoir cover opened during a program:
Switch the dishwasher off and then on again with
the button.
Start the program again.
The following fault
message appears in the
display during a
program:
Spray arm blocked
The middle spray arm is blocked by individual dishes.
Open the dishwasher door and rearrange the items
which are obstructing the spray arm.
The spray arm jets of the middle arm are clogged.
Turn the dishwasher off with the button.
Then:
Clean the spray arm (see "Cleaning and care").
Detergent residue is left
in the detergent
compartment at the end
of a program.
The detergent compartment was still damp when
detergent was added.
Make sure the compartment is dry before adding
detergent.
The detergent
dispenser flap cannot
be closed.
Detergent residue is blocking the latch.
Remove the detergent residue.
The inside of the door
and/or the interior walls
are wet after a program
has finished.
This is not a fault.
It is caused by the drying system.
The moisture will dissipate after a short while.
