Listening to Music on the
System by Talking to the
Amazon Alexa Device
Alexa is Amazon’s cloud-based voice
service that brings intelligent voice
control to your Sony device. Use the
Amazon Alexa device to ask Alexa to
play music, pause, resume and more.
To use this function, you will need to
connect your Amazon account to the
Amazon Alexa device.
Connect the mobile device by Wi-Fi to
the same network as that of the system,
and register the system to an Amazon
account.
1 Connect the mobile device by Wi-
Fi to the same network as that of
the system.
2 Install the free Sony | Music
Center app to the mobile device.
Search for Sony | Music Center at
Google Play or the App Store and
install it onto your mobile device.
3 Start Sony | Music Center and
select the system.
4 Operate by following the Sony |
Music Center screen.
Amazon Alexa is not available in all
languages and countries/regions.
Tips
You can check this setting on [Setup]
- [Advanced Settings] - [Amazon Alexa
Settings] (page 67).
Use Sony | Music Center to deregister the
system from the Amazon account. Even if
you deregister an account on the Alexa
app, the system will not recognize that
the account has been deregistered.
You can ask Alexa to play music from
supported streaming services or adjust
system volume using your voice.
For details of the contents that can be
operated and how to talk, refer to Sony
| Music Center.
