CYCLE OPTIONS AND SPECIAL
FEATURES
Your dryer features several additional cycle options and
special features to meet your individual needs.
MORE TIME
Use the MORE TIME/LESS TIME buttons to
increase or decrease the selected drying time
in 1-minute increments. Press and hold the
MORE TIME or LESS TIME buttons to rapidly change the
time.
LESS TIME
Use the MORE TIME/LESS TIME buttons to
increase or decrease the selected drying time in
1-minute increments. Press and hold the MORE
TIME or LESS TIME buttons to rapidly change the time.
DAMP DRY SIGNAL
If you press the DAMP DRY SIGNAL button,
the dryer will emit a chime when the load is
approximately 80% dry. This allows you to remove
faster-drying lightweight items or items that you want to
iron or hang dry.
WRINKLE GUARD
Selecting this option will tumble the clothes
after the cycle ends for a few seconds every
few minutes without heat. This option is active
for 180 minutes after the end of the cycle, or until the
door is opened. This helps prevent wrinkles if the clothes
are not removed immediately after the cycle has fi nished.
CHIME
The CHIME button adjusts the volume of the
chime or turns it off . Press the button repeatedly
until the desired sound level is reached.
CONTROL LOCK
Use this option to disable the controls. All
controls will be disabled except for the
POWER button. Once set, the CONTROL LOCK must be
turned off before the controls can be used. After the dryer
has shut off , the POWER button will allow the dryer to be
turned on, but the controls will remain locked. When the
option is set, the CONTROL LOCKED text appears in the
display.
Press and hold the CHIME button for three seconds to
activate or deactivate the CONTROL LOCK.
ENERGY SAVER
This option helps to reduce the energy
consumption of the Normal cycle, depending on
the size of the load. The drying time will change
when you select the Energy Saver option.
NOTE: T
he ENERGY SAVER option is turned on by default
on the Normal cycle. If you want a faster drying time,
turn off the ENERGY SAVER option on the Normal cycle.
GETTING CONNECTED
You need the following devices and applications to use
the Remote Start and other smart features on your dryer.
Required Devices: A wireless router, Kenmore Elite Smart
Dryer, and a mobile device.
Required Application: Kenmore Smart App.
IMPORTANT: You must download the Kenmore Smart
app to your mobile device, connect your Kenmore Smart
appliance to the internet, and register the appliance to
your account in order to use the Remote Start function.
Connecting the Dryer to the Internet
Refer to the Quick Start Guide that came with your smart
appliance for detailed instructions on creating a Kenmore
account and setting up the appliance for connected
operation from your mobile device. For additional

REMOTE START
Use a mobile device to control your appliance
remotely.
NOTE: You must fi rst close the door and connect to a
gateway to use this function. The Wi-Fi LED should be
illuminated.
To use Remote Start:

Select a cycle and options.

Press the REMOTE START button. The Remote Start LED
will turn on.

Start the dryer from the application on your mobile
device. (For more information, see the booklet shipped
with your dryer.) If you do not start the dryer remotely,
the dryer will wait to start the cycle until the START
button is pressed.

Using the STEAM REFRESH cycle
The STEAM REFRESH cycle uses the power of steam
to quickly reduce wrinkles and odor in fabrics. It also
refreshes wrinkled clothes that have been stored for
an extended period of time, and it can make heavily
wrinkled clothes easier to iron. STEAM REFRESH can also
be used to help reduce odors in fabrics. Use this feature
with small loads (1 - 4 items).
