Pre-heating the oven
The Boosterfunction is used to quickly
pre-heat the oven compartment in
some operating modes.
The Pre-heatfunction can be used with
any oven operating mode (except Eco
Fan heat) and has to be switched on
separately for each cooking process.
If you have set a cooking duration, it will
only start to count down after the
heating-up phase.
It is only necessary to pre-heat the oven
in a few instances.
Most dishes can be placed in the
cold oven to make use of the heat
produced during the heating-up
phase.
Pre-heat the oven when cooking the
following food with the following
operating modes:
- Dark bread doughs as well as beef
sirloin and fillet with the Fan plus,
Moisture plus and Conventional
heatoperating modes
- Cakes and pastries with a short
cooking duration (approx.30minutes
or less) as well as delicate items (e.g.
sponge) with the Conventional
heatoperating mode (without the
Boosterfunction)
Booster
The Boosterfunction is used to quickly
pre-heat the oven compartment.
This function is switched on as the
factory default setting for the following
functions (Further| Settings|
Booster| On):
- Fan plus
- Conventional heat
- Auto roast
- Moisture plus
If you set a temperature above 100°C
and the Boosterfunction is switched on,
a rapid heating-up phase heats the
oven to the set temperature. The top
heat/grill element and the ring heater
element come on together with the fan.
Delicate items (e.g. sponge or
biscuits) will brown too quickly on
the top if the Boosterfunction is
used.
Switch off the Boosterfunction for
these items.
