2. Remove the screw that holds the mulch plug and
remove the mulch plug.
3. Put the cutting deck in mow position.
4. Attach the mulch plug in the opposite sequence.
To do a check of the parallelism of the
cutting deck
1. Make sure that the air pressure in the tires is correct.
Refer to
Tire pressure on page 22
.
2. Park the product on a level surface.
3. Lower the cutting deck to mow position.
4. Set the cutting height lever to the middle position.
5. Measure the distance between the ground and the
front and rear edges of the cutting deck. Make sure
that the rear edge is 4–6 mm or 1/5 in. higher than
the front edge.
To examine the blades
CAUTION:
Damaged or incorrectly
balanced blades can cause damage to the
product. Replace damaged blades. Let an
approved service agent help you sharpen
and balance blunt blades.
1. Remove the cutting deck. Refer to

.
2. Look at the blades to see if they are damaged and if
it is necessary to sharpen them.
3. Tighten the blade bolts with tightening torque 25 Nm.
To replace the blades
1. Remove the cutting deck. Refer to
To remove the
cutting deck on page 16
.
2. Lock the blade with a wooden block.
3. Loosen and remove the blade bolt (A), the washers
(B) the blade (C) and the blade support (D).

4. Install in the opposite sequence. Install the new
blade with the bent ends in the direction of the
cutting deck.
WARNING:
Incorrect blade type
can cause objects to eject from the
cutting deck and cause serious injury.
