Repairs
WARNING: To assure product SAFETY and RELIABILITY,
repairs, maintenance and adjustment (including
power cord repairs, and brush inspection and
replacement, when applicable) should be performed
by a BLACK+DECKER factory service center or a
BLACK+DECKER authorized service center. Always use
identical replacementparts.
On pole storage (Fig. L)
(Available with BHSM15FX10)
1. Clamp the on pole storage unit 23 onto the floor
extension pole 7 .
2. The adaptor 9 can be stored in the opening in the top of
the on pole storage unit, as shown in Fig. L.
3. The bottom protrusion 34 of the on pole storage unit 23
can be used to store individual
attachments 12 , 13 , 14 , 15 or 17 .
Wall storage (Fig. M)
(Available with BHSM15FX10)
The wall storage unit 19 comes in three pieces:
1. Wall bracket 20 which is screwed into the wall.
2. Storage hook 21 which is clipped onto the wall bracket
and allows you to hang the cable tidily.
3. Storage box with lid 22 . This slides into place on
the wall bracket via the rail system provided. Any
accessories not being stored on the pole storage unit
can be stored in here.
Steam cleaning accessories
The performance of your appliance depends on the
accessory used. BLACK+DECKER accessories are engineered
to high quality standards and designed to enhance the
performance of your appliance. By using these accessories
you will get the very best from your equipment.
Garment steam cleaning (Fig. J)
(Available with BHSM15FX10)
NOTE: When first filled or after running dry, it can take up to
45 seconds for steam to be produced.
1. Fit the garment steamer sock 18 to the garment
steamer attachment 17 .
2. Align the lugs 31 on the adaptor 9 with the recesses 32
on the garment steamer attachment 17 .
3. Press the garment steamer attachment 17 onto the
steam nozzle 33 and twist counterclockwise as viewed
from the hand held steam unit until the accessory
clicks securely into place.
4. Connect the hand held steam unit to an outlet.
5. Press the On/Off button 1 so that the "I" is in the
down position.
NOTE: It takes approximately thirty seconds for the boiler
to heat up to operating temperature.
6. Once boiler is at operating temperature, press the required
steam flow button 28 or 29 to start the steam flow.
7. When you have finished using the hand held steam unit,
press the steam flow button 28 or 29 to pause steam
flow, and turn OFF.
8. Wait until the hand held steam unit cools down for
approximately five minutes.
