This section gives you step-by-step instructions for operating the CONVECT function in the
ULTIMA COOK TM oven.

Use Convect to cook small amounts of food
on a single rack using the CONVECT feature
in the ULTIMA COOK oven, For even heat-
ing, the fan at the rear of the oven circulates
the heated air from the element. Do not
cover the grid with aluminum foil. Always
use the convection grid when cooking with
CONVECT. The grid positions the food in
the best location for air circulation around it
during cooking. Place the grid in the
ULTIMA COOK oven before preheating.

• You can change the cooking tempera-
ture setting as desired from 170°F
(75°C) minimum to to 450°F (232°C)
maximum by touching the correct
number keys now.
• Cooking times using CONVECT may
be slightly longer than suggested in
the cookbook recipes included with
your lower oven.
We recommend preheating the oven
before placing food inside for cooking.
When the oven is preheated, place cook-
ware containing food on the convection grid
or place food directly on the grid. Prevent
heat loss by opening the door only when
necessary and closing it quickly during
CONVECT cooking.
NOTE: You may choose to QUICK
PREHEAT or not to preheat.

• Cooking time is 4 hours maximum. If you
