To avoid danger to persons, animals and
property before the first operation of the
system, read:
the operating manual
the enclosed safety information for high
pressure cleaning units, 5.956-309.0
the respective national statutes of the
legislator
For the operation of this system the follow-
ing regulations and directives are applica-
ble in the Federal Republic of Germany
(available from Carl Heymanns Verlag KG,
Luxemburger Straße 449, 50939 Cologne):
Accident prevention provision "General
rules and regulations" BGV A1
Safety for vehicle wash plants DIN
24446
Order in respect of operational safety
(BetrSichV).
Accident prevention regulations BGR
500 "Working with liquid spraying
units".
High pressure spraying units must be
checked every 12 months in accord-
ance with these guidelines by an expert
and the result of this check must be
written down.
Please remember:
that you have understood all the in-
structions
that all users of the plant are informed
about the instructions and have under-
stood them.
The appliance must not be used if a con-
necting line or important parts of the appli-
ance, e.g. safety devices, high-pressure
hoses, spray guns, are damaged.
DANGER
Pointer to immediate danger, which leads
to severe injuries or death.
WARNING
Pointer to a possibly dangerous situation,
which can lead to severe injuries or death.
CAUTION
Pointer to a possibly dangerous situation,
which can lead to minor injuries.
ATTENTION
Pointer to a possibly dangerous situation,
which can lead to property damage.
WARNING
To avoid danger through false operation,
the plant must be operated only by per-
sons, who
are instructed in its operational han-
dling
have proved their capabilities in respect
of operation
have been explicitly commissioned to
use it.
The operating manual must be made avail-
able to each user. The plant may not be op-
erated by persons under 18 years old.
Trainees over 16 years old and under su-
pervision are exceptions here.
This high pressure module transports water
from a high pressure storage tank switched
on earlier to a subsequently switched vehi-
cle washing unit. Storage tank and washing
unit are not part of this high pressure mod-
ule. The high pressure module is perma-
nently installed in a dry, frost-free room.
The water connection must be present
there according to the details provided in
the technical specifications. The water level
of the storage tank available at the installa-
tion site must be at least 1 m above the in-
stallation surface of the high pressure mod-
ule. The temperature at the installation site
should not exceed 40 °C. This high pres-
sure module is controlled by the controls of
the vehicle washing unit. This control also
monitors and controls the interplay of the
high pressure module with all the previous
and subsequent equipment. The high pres-
sure water is distributed through a fixed
network of pipes.
Quality requirements for water:
ATTENTION
Only clean water may be used as high
pressure medium. Impurities will lead to in-
creased wear and tear or formation of de-
posits.
The high pressure module is installed in a
machine room. The high pressure module
is operated using the controls of the subse-
quent vehicle washing unit. It is necessary
to be present at the high pressure module
only for maintenance and repairs jobs.
