pipingmustbecompletelydrainable.Ifanywateroutletislocatedhigherthanthewaterheater,itisrecommended

adrainvalveisinstalledatthelowestpoint–seeFigure14.



UnionconnectionsarerecommendedfortheColdandHotwaterlines.Theseallowwaterheatertobedisconnected

easilyforservicing.



FortheHotwateroutletconnections:

 Connectionbetweenwaterheaterandtheclosesthotwateroutletshouldbeasshortaspossiblebutnot

lessthan2metres.

 Localcodesshallgovernthepipingusedforwaterconnections.

 Forenergyconservationandtopreventfreezing,bothColdandHotwatersupplylinesshouldbeinsulated. 


