SAW BLADES
All saw blades need to be kept clean, sharp
and properly set in order to cut efciently.
Using a dull blade places a heavy load
on the saw and increases the danger of
kickback. Keep extra blades on hand, so
sharp blades are always available. Gum and
wood pitch hardened on the blade slows the
saw down. Use gum and pitch remover, hot
water or kerosene to remove them. Do not
use gasoline.
KICKBACK (FIG. 3 - FIG. 6)
OPERATION
WARNING:
When using the saw,
always stay alert and exercise control. Do
not remove the saw from the workpiece
while the blade is moving.
WARNING:
A 6-1/2-inch blade is
the maximum blade capacity of your saw.
A blade larger than 6-1/2 inches will come
in contact with the blade guards. NEVER
use a blade that is so thick that it prevents
the outer blade washer from engaging with
the at side of the spindle. Blades that
are too large or too thick can result in an
accident causing serious injury.
