Roasting spit
Slide the xators (B) onto the roasting spit (A). Tighten the screws of the xators so that
the xators sit rmly on the spit. Insert the roasting spit into the rotators (D) inside of the
device. They only t into the rotators in a certain way. Do not use force.
Placing
CAUTION: Be sure to leave at least 10 cm of space between the appliance
and surrounding objects and the walls to ensure that steam can escape. The
appliance has a steam outlet on the back of the appliance which releases
excess moisture from the food as steam. Do not block the steam outlet with
anything.
Place the appliance on a at, clean and heat-resistant work surface:
• far away from water and other liquids. The appliance may otherwise fall into the
water and cause electrical shock.
• far away from hot surfaces and sources of heat such as heaters, stoves, ovens,
open res and direct sunlight. The material of the appliance can melt due to the
heat, thus exposing the live parts of the device. This can cause a short circuit and
consequently a re.
• far away from ammable objects and materials in order to reduce the risk of re.
• far away from explosive and ammable gases. The appliance contains metal
parts that rub against each other and can cause ignition of ammable gases by
sparking.
Do not put anything on the device.
Power supply
The appliance has a standard security plug and requires a security socket with a 220-
240 V ~ 50/60 Hz power supply.
Only connect the appliance if the mains voltage of the socket is compliant to the
speci cation of the device.
If the power cord or plug is damaged in any way, do not connect the unit.
Have it replaced by a manufacturer authorised service centre.
The appliance must not be used with a timer or a remote control system.
Plug the power cord into an outlet behind the appliance. To prevent accidentally
knocking over the appliance, do not allow the power cord to hang over the edge of the
work surface. Also ensure that the power cord:
• does not touch hot surfaces or other sources of heat.
• is never kinked.
• is not guided over sharp edges.
