Using the child lock
To prevent a child from activating the cooking surface of the cooktop, the Child
Lock function can be used. It also prevents unintended setting changes while
cleaning the surface with a cloth by locking all buttons on the control panel except
for the Power button.
Switching the child safety lock On/Off
1. Touch the Child lock ( ) button for
approximately 3 seconds. An acoustic
signal will sound as conrmation.
2. Touch any control button.
will appear in the indicator,
indicating the child lock has been
activated.
3. To switch the child lock off, touch
the Child lock (
) button again for
3 seconds. An acoustic signal will sound
as conrmation.
NOTE
If you activate the child lock while the cooktop is operating, touch the Power
button to turn the cooktop off for safety reasons.
If the child lock is enabled when the cooktop is not operating, all buttons will
be disabled including the Power button.
Timer
1. Press the Timer button. The number
10 will be displayed above the timer
indicator.
2. Touch the or buttons to set the
time. Then, press the Timer button
again.

NOTE
You can use the Heat level / Time selector
to set the time.
The Heat level / Time selector is divided
from 0 to 9, and you can touch it to select
the number. (The gure shows how to set
95 minutes.)
Touch the Heat level / Time selector once
to select the tens digit of the time, and then
touch again to select the unit digit of the
time.
