Cleaning the Filter System
The filter system consists of a coarse filter, a main (flat) filter, and a micro (fine) filter.
1. Coarse filter:
Larger items, such as pieces of bone or glass that could block the drain are trapped in the coarse
filter. To remove the items caught by the filter, gently squeeze the tab on the top of this filter and
lift out.
2. Fine filter:
This filter holds soil and food residue in the cylindrical base and prevents the soil from being
redeposited on the dishes during wash cycle.
3. Main filter:
Food and soil particles trapped by this filter are broken down by a special jet on the spray arm and
washed down the drain.
The filter assembly – composed of the above three filters - efficiently removes food particles from
the wash water, allowing it to be recycled during the cycle.
For best performance and results, the filter assembly must be cleaned regularly. For this reason, it
is a good idea to remove the larger food particles trapped in the filter after each wash cycle by
rinsing the filter assembly under running water. Use a soft cleaning brush to clean the coarse filter
and the fine filter.
