8 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
MAINTENANCE
Do not repair or replace any part of the appliance. All repairs and servicing must be performed by qualied
service personnel unless specically recommended in this owner’s manual. Use only authorized factory
parts.
Remove any dust or foreign matter from the power plug pins.
Disconnect this appliance from the power supply before cleaning and attempting any user maintenance.
Turning the controls to the OFF position does not disconnect this appliance from the power supply.
Remove the door before the appliance is removed from service or discarded to avoid the danger of children
or small animals getting trapped inside.
Do not disassemble or repair the appliance by yourself.
Remove the lid to the washing compartment before your washer is removed from service or discarded to
avoid the danger of children or small animals getting trapped inside.
Keep hands and foreign objects clear of the lid and latch area when closing the lid.
GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in a risk of electric shock. Check with
a qualied electrician or service personnel if you are in doubt whether the appliance is properly grounded.
Do not modify the plug provided with the appliance; if it will not t the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by
a qualied electrician.
For your safety, the information in this manual must be followed to minimize the risk of re, explosion, or
electric shock, or to prevent property damage, injury to persons, or death.
The appliance must be grounded. In the event of a malfunction or breakdown, grounding will reduce the risk
of electric shock by providing a path of least resistance for electric current. The appliance is equipped with
