Wash Cycles
Wash cycles are designed for the best wash performance for each type of load. Select the cycle that best
matches the load contents for maximum wash performance and fabric care. See the Sorting Laundry section for
best results, follow the fabric care labels on your garments. For a guide to fabric care symbols, see the Sorting
Laundry section.
Press the button to select the desired cycle. When you select a wash cycle, the light for the corresponding wash
cycle will turn on.
NOTE
Whenever load weights are mentioned, assume 1 lb (0.45 kg) = 1 thick bath towel (dry).
Wash Cycle Description Note
Normal
Use this cycle to wash lightly soiled normal
fabrics. Do not use for delicate fabrics such as
wool or silk.
Pressing the Start/Pause button
without selecting a cycle will
cause the Normal cycle to begin
immediately, using default settings.
Intimates
Use this cycle to wash delicate items such as
lingerie or sheer and lacy clothes which could
easily be damaged in a Normal cycle. This cycle is
not for silk items.
Hand Wash
Use this cycle to wash shrinkable woolen or
handwashable items requiring delicate care. Only
wash woolen items that are labeled machine wash
or hand wash.
Load size should be less than 2
lb (1 kg) to prevent damage to the
fabric.
Use only natural or wool-safe
detergent and use half the normal
amount of detergent.
The Hand Wash cycle uses a
gentle wash action and low-speed
spin for the ultimated fabric care.
Active Wear
Use this cycle to wash performance garments that
are specially designed and treated for sports.
Rinse+Spin
Select this cycle to rinse and spin a load
separatedly from a regular cycle.
