SPDIF Selection
(Auto / PCM / Dolby Audio)
Selects the initial setting for digital audio output signal from DIGITAL AUDIO
OUT and HDMI2 (ARC function) terminals.
SPDIF is a standard audio transfer file format.
Auto:
Dolby Audio (Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus) and HE-AAC multi-
channel are output as Dolby Digital Bitstream. MPEG is output as PCM.
PCM:
Digital output signal is fixed to PCM.
Dolby Audio:
Dolby Audio (Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus), HE-AAC and AAC are
output as Dolby Digital Bitstream or Dolby Digital Plus Bitstream.
ARC (Audio Return Channel) is a function of digital audio output using
HDMI cable.
For Digital TV, video content
Media Player > Playback > Audio output settings
Network > Videos > Audio output settings
HDMI Audio Format
(Auto / Bitstream / PCM)
Selects the audio format for the HDMI input signal.
Auto:
When the TV speakers are active, audio format is fixed to PCM. When
the sound is delivered from theatre speakers, audio format is fixed to
Bitstream.
Bitstream:
Dolby Audio (Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus) is output as Dolby Audio
Bitstream. Other digital audio output signals are output as PCM.
PCM:
Digital audio signal is output as PCM.
PCM Optical Level
Adjusts the audio level of PCM output from DIGITAL AUDIO OUT and HDMI2
(ARC function) terminals to equalise with that of the other audio types.
